Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

The short version: the MimicMic app never uploads your recordings anywhere. AI voice processing runs on your iPhone. The app sends only anonymous usage statistics, so we can see where people get stuck, and you can turn them off in Settings.

The Creator Reward email program is separate. We process application material only when you choose to email an application, as described below.

This policy covers both the MimicMic app and the mimicmic.com website. The rules differ.

The full version follows.

What we collect

The MimicMic app collects only anonymous usage statistics. We use Google’s Firebase Analytics to record a few steps: opening the app, how many seconds the models took to load, whether the microphone was allowed, starting a recording, hearing a converted take, sharing a take, seeing the purchase screen, and completing a purchase. Firebase also records the device model, iOS version, app version, and approximate country or region on its own.

Firebase gives each installation a random identifier so the steps on one device can be put together. It is not tied to who you are: there are no accounts, no sign-up or login, no email requested, and no advertising identifier (IDFA), and you are not tracked across other apps or websites.

Statistics are deleted after 14 months. You can turn off “Share Anonymous Usage Statistics” in the app’s Settings, after which no statistics are sent.

The app has no advertising SDKs and no crash-reporting service.

Where your recordings go

They stay on your own devices. The audio you record, your conversion history, and any voice you create yourself live only in your devices’ local storage.

None of it is ever uploaded to the cloud or sent to us or any third-party server, and none of it is part of the usage statistics. AI voice processing runs on your iPhone.

You can delete individual takes from history, or clear all recordings in Settings while keeping your voices. Deleting the app removes all local data with it.

Microphone access

MimicMic needs microphone access to record the speech you want to convert. This is the core function of the app, and the permission is used only while you hold the record button.

You can revoke it at any time in iOS system settings. Recording stops working, but voices you have already created remain.

Where processing happens

MimicMic processes recordings and voices directly on your device. This data is never sent to us or a third-party server.

Third parties

The MimicMic app sends only the anonymous usage statistics described above to Google (Firebase Analytics), which processes them on our behalf. We do not sell data or share it with any other third party.

The one exception is Apple: when you download the app from the App Store, Apple handles download and payment information under its own policies. That never passes through us and we cannot see it.

This website

mimicmic.com uses Google Analytics, but only after you agree to it. If you decline, it is never loaded and nothing is sent.

It records page views, scrolling, and a few fixed interactions such as which download button you pressed or when you switch language. It never sends your email, your recordings, or anything you type.

Your choice is stored in your browser and you can change it any time from the analytics settings in the footer.

Creator Reward email program

If you choose to join the Creator Reward, we collect only your email, public video URL, and views screenshot.

We use this information only for eligibility, fraud prevention, contact, and reward delivery. It may be received only by email or service providers necessary to process your application, or by parties when required by law.

We delete application materials 90 days after the application decision, or 90 days after reward delivery where a reward is issued. Records that must be retained by law are an exception. Email us at any time to request access or deletion of data not required to be retained.

Children's privacy

For every user, children under 13 included, the MimicMic app collects only the anonymous usage statistics described above and nothing that identifies anyone. If someone chooses to submit a Creator Reward email application, that application is handled under the program terms above.

Changes to this policy

If the behaviour of the app or the Creator Reward email process ever changes — for instance if a feature requiring a connection is added — this policy will be updated first, with the date noted above.
