WAV · M4A · MP3 · AIFF
WAV, M4A, MP3 and AIFF are supported. Three to five seconds of clear speech is enough. If the file is too short or nearly silent, Mimic asks you to pick another.
Mimic brings auditions, voice management, playback and handoff into the same private, on-device workflow.
Rename a voice, choose its icon and color, add your own tags, then narrow the library by search, built-in or custom voices, or any tag. Reorder voices by dragging, or delete the ones you no longer need.

Yes. Pick the character for each line, hold to perform it, then export the result as a WAV. Switch characters and record the next line for a short video, animation, game or tabletop story.
Change the performance when you change characters. Let the lead speak faster, give the guardian longer pauses, and keep the regent’s emphasis steady. Mimic preserves your timing and stress, so the acting still comes from you.
WAV, M4A, MP3 and AIFF. A clip needs at least three seconds, and three to five of them go into the voice. Anything too short or near-silent is refused — just pick a take with clearer speech.
You can record yourself or import your own audio. But the built-in voices are fictional characters, and using someone else’s recording to impersonate them is not something we support or encourage — you are responsible for having the rights to whatever you import.
Yes. Every result is saved automatically in that voice’s conversion history. Export one line as a standard WAV, or package every take for the same voice into a ZIP, then share it through Messages, Discord, WhatsApp, AirDrop or Files.
Yes. Rename any voice, change its icon and color, add custom tags, and reorder or delete it. Search, built-in/custom filters and tag filters help you find the next role; a tag selected in Voicebox also filters the voice picker on the recording screen.
Yes. Settings shows the space used by conversion results, staged imports and recording takes. Clear All Recordings asks for confirmation and removes only those audio files; every voice you created stays in your library.
Genuinely offline. There is no networking code in the app, and airplane mode changes nothing. Every model runs on your iPhone’s own silicon, and your voice never leaves the device.
You need an iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Each take is up to thirty seconds — plenty for a long monologue. To keep the computation on-device, about 900 MB of voice models install with the app, and nothing streams afterwards.
Pick a character, perform the line, then move to the next. No account or connection required.
